Design Commentary

Description:  A brand new dungeon created for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with the Unity Engine. A Link to the Past is one of my favorite games, so I set out to determine what makes a "great" dungeon and implement one of my own.

Highlights:

  • Recreated the Zelda dungeon gameplay engine in C#, including movement, combat, camera scrolling, and UI.

  • Researched Zelda dungeon design and published an article detailing what makes a "great" dungeon.

  • Designed and Implemented an entirely new dungeon with unique puzzles, items, and enemies.
